Show Society treasurer Merrilyn Young said rain had impacted numbers, but entries to the agricultural events had been very high.
“It is hard to say but we have had a couple of thousand at least,” she said.
“Everyone who is here seems to be having a great time which is what matters.
“Certainly our sheep and cattle entries have been very strong.”
Entertainment highlights included a pet parade, dog high jump and whip cracking along with an animal nursery and miniature goat display.
Mrs Young said the show had been without a sideshow alley since 2013, with the decision to focus more on the event’s agricultural roots.
“We wanted to go back what shows used to be about, which is everything you see here today,” she said.
