THE FARMGATE FESTIVAL
The Farmgate Festival sees 15 Tamar Valley farms open their doors to the public on Saturday and Sunday, including Brady’s Lookout Cider, Langdale Farm Pork and Tamar Valley Truffles.
Tickets for the Farmgate Festival provide access to all 15 properties, and cost $20 for adults, while kids under 15 are free.

A DAY AT THE GOAT
Make use of the wonderful weather by heading to Goaty Hill Wines on Saturday.
Enjoy a glass of Goaty Hill sparkling wine and free live music, while tucking in to food from The Good Food Float, Casa Paella, Lol Kitchen and many more.
A Day at The Goat will go between 11am and 5pm. Entry is by donation.
THE DELORAINE SHOW
The Deloraine Show is the penultimate event of the Tasmanian show season.
The show will run on Saturday at the Deloraine Showgrounds from 8am, and will feature wood chopping, dog shows, pet parades, cattle judging and endless dagwood dogs.
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children. Kids under five are free.
THE 2017 LAUNCESTON CHRISTMAS PARADE
Launceston’s Christmas Parade will be a treat for young and old on Saturday.
The Tamar Apex-hosted event will feature floats and marchers taking over Launceston’s CBD from 11am.
The parade may even feature a visit from Saint Nick himself.
THE BADLANDS AT ST JOHN CRAFT BEER
Get down to St John Craft Beer on Sunday night to see The Badlands make their Tasmanian debut.
The Byron Bay four-piece describes their sound as a “mixture of 60s and 70s blues and rock, combined with elements of 90s skate and surf punk”.
The gig kicks off at 8.30, with tickets costing $10 on the door.
ISLA KA AND DISREPUTE AT THE TOP BAR
The Top Bar will host Tasmanian acts ISLA KA and Disrepute on Saturday night.
ISLA KA are festival season veterans, and will be busy again this summer, with the three-piece set to play at Party in the Paddock and several other festivals.
Music starts at 8pm, with tickets available from topbar.oztix.com.au for $14 per person.
