The Chieftains batted first and were dismissed for 166 in the 39th over with Damian Woods (35) and Nathan Balym (46) top scoring at the top of the order.
All-rounders Scott Driessen (25) and Simon Clay chipped in later on, while Joe Bodis picked 4-25 and Savage snared 5-23.
In response, Savage blazed away and finished with 112 not out off 64 balls including 15 fours and four sixes.
He had support from Tamar Tigers captain-coach Rob Crane (35) as his side won in 19.4 overs.
Hadspen leg-spinner Matt Green (2-16) was the visitors only multiple wicket-taker.
ACL defeated Cressy by 16-runs in a tight contest at University Oval.

Diggers lost five wickets in reply but ended up 5-55 in 17.5 overs with Chris Collins working his way to 28 not out, while Geoff Stick took 5-27.
