Charles James Morgan Griffiths pleaded not guilty to committing an offence on an aircraft in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 69-year-old is accused of “committing an act of indecency on [the complainant] without her consent” and being “reckless as to whether she was consenting”.
The matter is expected to go to a hearing next year but Magistrate Simon Brown adjourned it for mention in December.
Mr Brown told the court he could no longer deal with the matter due to a conflict of interest.
Mr Griffiths was bailed to appear on December 12.
