Polish track star Teklinski, the winner of the 16 kilometre scratch race at April’s world championships, has committed to the full seven-day cycling program.
He has been recruited to the series by regular visitor and crowd favourite Germany’s Christian Grasmann, who will return for his fourth carnivals series in the past five years.
He will also bring with him England’s Tom Rotherham, Netherlands’ six-day star Nick Stöpler and six-time Austrian track and criterium champion Stefan Matzner.
Rotherham won medals in the keirin, individual time trial and team sprint at the British track championships in February, while Stöpler is a former Dutch points race and madison titleholder.
The Latrobe Carnival is on Wednesday, December 27, followed by Launceston, Devonport and Burnie.
