A trio of bands will be performing a free concert, which will showcase everything from rock opera, post-punk to guitar pop.
Invermay musicians Slag Queens will play alongside South Australian band David Blumberg & The Maraby Band and Melbourne band Good Morning.
Slag Queens drummer and singer Claire Johnston said Launceston listeners would have a taste of the underground music scene at the gig, which would be their second last show in their hometown this year.
David Blumberg, of David Blumberg & The Maraby Band, said the performance would be a hint of “pastoral psychedelia”.
“We’re the fruit loops to the mainstream’s wheet bix,” Blumberg said.
