Family and friends of Roger Corbin will gather at the Hobart Regatta Grounds for the 57-year-old’s funeral on Tuesday, which will be one week after his helicopter crashed on the runway.
In an Examiner death notice, his family described him as “the best dad”.
“You were taken from us too soon, we miss you so much,” Allana, Sophia, Isabella, Indiana and Jack (the dog) wrote.
“Rest in Peace our beautiful boy.”
Mr Corbin was the managing director of Rotor-Lift Aviation and was involved in rescue operations across the state for more than 30 years.

A 33-year-old pilot was in the aircraft with Mr Corbin when it crashed.
John Osborne, who is an owner at Osborne Aviation, was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a critical condition following the incident.
It is understood he was released from hospital on Thursday.
