With all staff and students moving to the new school campus in Ravenswood next year, a celebration is planned for all former staff, students, families and carers who have memories of the school they wish to share.
Head of campus Leanne Macfarlane said there has already been plenty of memorabilia discovered and shared from former staff and families in the lead-up to the final farewell.
The school, which opened in the 1980s, has been variously known as St Giles school, Newstead Heights and the Northern Support School, but with the newly upgraded and refurbished campus in Ravenswood ready for use, it’s time to move on.
A farewell party is planned for Friday, November 17, from 7pm to 9pm at the Newstead Heights campus, with light refreshments.
RSVPs are requested by November 10 to Leanne Macfarlane on 63443917 or email northern.support@education.tas.gov.au
