St Helens’ Portland Hall was the scene of the Health and Wellbeing Expo last week.
The Neighborhood House-hosted event provided people with a chance to learn about available mental health services.
A number of organisations were represented at the event, including headspace and the SAM project.
Attendees also had a chance to learn about alternative activities, such as nordic walking and African drumming.
“Events like these… give our residents the opportunity to seek out service providers or try new therapies,” Break O’Day mayor Mick Tucker said.
“It is, most importantly, an opportunity to raise awareness and start the discussion about mental health.”
