The owners of the Blue Derby Pods Ride have been nominated for Best New Business at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards.

The business provides a three-day mountain biking experience, which includes luxury accommodation in modern pods located in the heart of the Blue Derby trails.
Directors Steve and Tara Howell said the business was more than three years in the making.
Mrs Howell also credited the business’ nomination to the unique experience it provides.
“We’re really proud to be nominated,” she said.
“Our business is so unique and new to the market – no one offers the high-end experience we have.”
The Tourism Industry Council-hosted awards will take place on Friday.
