Powerline fall closes highway, causes power outages
The Arthur Highway on the Tasman Peninsula is closed to traffic after powerlines fell across the road on Monday morning.

A fallen tree caused the powerlines to fall, and subsequently, about 16 properties were without power.
The incident occurred about five kilometres north of Port Arthur.
While emergency services and TasNetworks clean up the site, traffic is being diverted through Nubeena Road.
Tasmania Police has advised that the road is likely to be closed for several hours into Monday morning.
The incident was reported by police about 5.30am.
