Among them was artist Michael McWilliams, who has been judging the show’s school art competition for more than a decade. The two-time winner of the Waterhouse National History Art Prize said it was always great to get a glimpse of the next generation of art talent within the region.
“We always get such a variety, and it’s always good to see all the hard work the kids have put in,” he said.
“Each grade has something different, whether it be paintings, drawings or collages.”
