Thousands of Tasmanians are directly employed by the industry, and the Undisciplined summit aimed to critically reflect on the industries and encourage people to think outside the square.
The Hobart-based event was created by Creative Island, an alliance of creative and cultural producers from across the state.
The summit received $60,000 from the state government as part of an election committment to implement a creative industries strategy.
Minister for Arts Elise Archer said Creative Island undertook a mapping study of the creative arts and cultural industries in preparation for the summit.
