The outlaw motorcycle group were met by a strong police presence in Devonport on Friday morning with officers doing vehicle checks and drug and alcohol testing.
About 400 riders are in the state and are travelling along the East Coast to Hobart.
Tasmania Police issued a warning to the bikies ahead of their visit.
“Members are on notice in our jurisdiction. We will not tolerate criminal activity, anti-social or intimidating behaviour, or breaches of our traffic laws,” Assistant Commissioner Glenn Frame said.
The group were at Epping Forest about 11.30am Friday and were expected to continue down the highway to Hobart.
The national Rebels ride comes a month before the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang is expected to arrive in Tasmania.
The Bandidos will arrive in Devonport from November 19 and are expected to travel to Port Arthur for two nights.
Officers from Tasmania Police and interstate, including from the National Anti-Gangs Squad, will be monitoring both groups while they are in the state.
