A week after Launceston held its event, the action will move south where there will be a mix of old favourites and new attractions.
Longford Show Society secretary Kristy Springer said people can once again expect a bit of everything throughout the day.
“We have lego building and pelican puppets for the first time, as well as animal wrangling, which makes a return,” she said.
“There will also be all the usual agricultural parts of the show, such as the sheep sections and the showjumping.”
The 161st Longford Show will be be held from 8am to 4.30pm on Saturday, October 21.
The poultry and pigeon exhibits and show jumping start off judging for the day at 8.30am, followed closely by the kennel section and sheep judging.
Longford Show’s Country Show boy and girl competitions kick off the afternoon’s judging. Tickets are $12 and $6 for children, with entry free for children under five. A family of two children and two adults can get in for $30.
