As the sixth day of the search for missing man Bruce Fairfax gets underway, police say it is unlikely he will be found alive.

Inspector David Wiss, who is in charge of the search, said police were "likely to formally suspend" the operation on Thursday.
“We have consulted with international medical experts and sadly do not believe Mr Fairfax could have survived given his medical condition and the length of time he has been missing,” he said.
“Tasmania Police will conduct a number of other specialist searches, including the use of police divers, over the coming weeks."
Mr Fairfax was last seen walking on the Duckhole Lake track, with his wife Louise, on Saturday.

The 66-year-old has Parkinson’s disease and has been without his medication since he went missing.
Police are also seeking information from two people who may have seen Mr Fairfax before he disappeared.
They are described as:
- A woman in her 70s who was returning on the Creekton Falls Track about midday Saturday.
- A man in his mid-50s with a ponytail, driving a blue or green coloured older model vehicle parked in the track car park.
“Any information relevant to Mr Fairfax’s disappearance will be thoroughly investigated and we hope to bring closure to his family and loved ones,” Inspector Wiss said.
