Tasmania Police said a “comprehensive operational strategy” had been developed in preparation for the arrival of the Bandidos and the Rebels.
“We have been liaising with [them] to ensure their members understand that they will be closely monitored, and that criminal and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in our state,” Assistant Commissioner Glenn Frame said.
“The members are on notice in our jurisdiction. We will not tolerate criminal activity, anti-social or intimidating behaviour, or breaches of our traffic laws.”
Members of the Rebels are expected to arrive in Devonport on Friday with the group planning to ride along the East Coast to Hobart.
The Bandidos will arrive in Devonport on November 19 and are expected to travel to Port Arthur for two nights.
While both groups are in the state, officers from the National Anti-Gangs Squad will assist local police in monitoring their activity.
