After leading Perth to a finals appearance Magpies coach Damian Rhind will retain the role in 2018 but will step down following the end of the season.
Club president Scott Bellinger announced via Facebook that former Rocherlea premiership forward Josh Holton would serve one year as the Magpies’ assistant coach before stepping up to the main role in 2019.
Preliminary finalist EVANDALE has announced a new coach with James Storay to take over the main job from veteran Anthony Axton, who will remain on the club’s coaching panel.
Storay played 19 games for a return of 29 goals in 2017.
Ned Hyland has been rewarded for leading EAST COAST to a grand final in its first year in the league.
Hyland will coach the Swans for the fourth consecutive season and will again have stars Michael Musicka, Nick Child, Jake Sushames, Lewis Ritchie and Pearce Robinson at his disposal after a handful of big names re-signed for the club.
ST PATS have re-appointed coach Alex Russell for another season, while MEANDER VALLEY SUNS have appointed David Manktelow to the top job – replacing Michael Bowden.
Division 1 powerhouse ROCHERLEA have also re-signed 2016 premiership coach Lyndon Stubbs to take the club into another long season. Stubbs will have the support of Andrew Cox-Goodyer, while retired captain Brenton Gale will step in to coach the Suburban Tigers under-18s side.
