On Wednesday morning residents in Launceston heard the constant buzz of a chopper completing inspections around the city.
The aerial-survey inspection program will continue until October 20.
A spokesman for TasNetworks said helicopter line inspections reduced the risk of unplanned power outages and bushfires.
“Customers may see the helicopter, which carries the TasNetworks logo, moving slowly and sometimes at low levels.
“While it can be noisy, it’s also an important way of ensuring everyone’s safety.”
