Jaguar Land Rover has recalled 17,000 vehicles over faulty airbag fears.

The Department of State Growth said the voluntary recall was being overseen by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

The company said the recall was just a precaution and there had been no reports of faulty airbags.
