FAVOURITE: David Crosswell has He's A Boomer in Mowbray final

THE Colonial Hotel Middle Distance Championship final will be run on Monday night at Mowbray with a field of quality chasers taking on the feature over 600 metres.

He’s Boomer, from the Longford kennels of David Crosswell, is $3 favourite in the forecast market on thedogs.com.au following a 35.10 heat win last week.

The son of Head Bound worked hard to find the front down the back stretch before going on to score by 4-¼ lengths.

“I thought he would go well and he certainly showed plenty of class,” Crosswell said after the win.

With He’s A Boomer drawing the coveted red box in Monday’s decider, it will set up an intriguing battle with Tasmania’s recent National Distance Championship representative Shima Sun.

Patrick Ryan’s promising chaser Hetti’s Produce was a brilliant winner of last week’s George & Eileen Johnston Puppy Championship final in Devonport recording 25.72.
