A Murray Goulburn spokesman said interested parties had toured the Edith Creek site in the past few weeks, where production will cease by the end of November.
“The sale of our Edith Creek site is now a priority. We continue to assess which plant and equipment can be transferred to alternative MG sites,” the spokeman said.
Murray Goulburn will continue to employ around 55 Tasmanians between its Smithton processing facility, MG Trading store and the field services team.
