After topping the tally with 33 votes in 2015 and 2016, the sole multiple-Alastair Lynch medallist strung together yet another impeccable season to win favouritism for what would be his fourth medal in six seasons.
North Launceston premiership stars Tom Couch and Brad Cox-Goodyer are considered best-placed to steal the Magpie’s thunder, having both played crucial roles in their side’s stellar year.
The awards ceremony will be held at Launceston’s Country Club Tasmania and will be attended by former Brisbane forward Lynch, who will present the medal named in his honour.
TSLW and development league awards will also be presented at the event, as will awards for coach, umpire, trainer and volunteer of the year.
