Revived two years ago to run at Quercus Park after initially running at the Elphin Showground, the event gave horse lovers a taste of the wider industry, coordinator Melita Gard said.
“We wanted to showcase the trade and the talent that we have here in Tasmania,” Ms Gard said.
Two talented riders, Lara Baker and Rachelle Robinson, who are both 15, stood out for Ms Gard.
“Lara is on the Autism spectrum and horses are her therapy. She is an amazing young lady,” Ms Gard said.
Lara was joined by Freyr Colvin for the dressage demonstration and Dressage Pas De Deux.
“Rachelle is about to represent Australia in Texas at the Youth World Cup in 2018,” she said.
Ms Gard, who has bred Shetland ponies for 23 years, said the event was about more than stallions.
“Whilst we are a stallion parade, we also want to promote what we have here and what our Tasmanian trades are,” she said.
The showcase also included an equine expo, stalls and guest speakers MaryAnne Leighton from Equine Emergency Rescue and equine vet Roger Blackwell.
