Police caught the 17-year-old’s travelling at 131km/h and 111km/h on Emu Bay Road, which is a 60km/h zone.
Their bikes were seized for 28 days and they will appear in court at a later date.
Tasmania Police Sergeant Tony Roughan said the riders were “very upset” when they learned their bikes would be taken away.
“The speeds these riders were doing are dangerous for any rider, and even more so for inexperienced riders on their learner’s licence,” Sergeant Roughan said.
