He has been remembered as a “little boy who gave life its all”.
In an Examiner death notice, his family described him as being an “adored big brother” of his sister Matilda, a “treasured” grandson and a “beloved” nephew and cousin.
The news of his death sent shockwaves throughout the Swansea community and saw an outpouring of support for the devastated family.

Glamorgan Spring Bay mayor Michael Kent said it had been a “miserable” week for the region.
“This effects not just one town, but pretty much all over the East Coast and even across Tasmania,” he said.
“People are feeling down and a lot of people are staying inside, mourning in their own way.”
Councillor Kent said Aiden’s mother, Nona Barker, was employed by the council.
“The council team, our staff that work with her, are absolutely beside themselves,” he said.
“The community is there for them and if there is anything more we can do as a community and as a council, we will.”
Aiden’s classmates and other students affected by the tragedy will be offered counselling when they return from school holidays.
“Our thoughts are with the family and the school community during this terribly sad time,” an Education Department spokeswoman said.
Family and friends of the Barker family will gather at Swansea on Saturday to celebrate Aiden’s life.
He would have been 7 in December.
