More than 16 million Australian Marriage Law Postal Surveys have now been sent out across the nation, and all eligible voters should have now received their form.
ABS Deputy Australian Statistician and Taskforce Lead Jonathan Palmer said a replacement survey could be sought for reasons such as an out-of-date address or being away from home, or if a form was lost or damaged.
“The quickest and easiest way to contact us and request a replacement form is via our website,” Mr Palmer said.
“You will be sent a replacement form, and the original form will be made invalid.”
Requests for a new survey form close on October 20 and all completed forms should be sent back by October 27.
The ABS said voters should not try to sell their form online, put photos of their survey form on social media, open mail that is not addressed to them, or put anything other than their survey form in the envelope.
The survey results will be published on the ABS website on November 15.
