The online survey is part of the government’s push to develop the three-year plan, superseding the existing Women’s Strategy for 2013-2018, which laid out strategies to tackle gender inequality, violence against women and the pay gap in the state.
Four key areas for the new strategy are economic empowerment, leadership and participation, health and wellbeing, and safety.
Written submissions to the survey are encouraged to consider what drives positive outcomes for women and girls in Tasmania, the key issues facing women, barriers preventing them from achievement, and strategies the state government could take to respond.
The original plan was launched in 2013 and focused on six priority areas for women and girls, some aimed at whole-of-government systemic change and targeted programs.
