The band features Spencer Pfundt on bass and vocals, Jye Crack on lead guitar, Lucas Marik on rhythm guitar and Rastin Godejohann on drums.
The Newstead College students have played together since the beginning of the year, and currently have their track Solitude uploaded on Triple J Unearthed.
The competition was at Club 54 on Thursday night, meaning that school loomed large the next day.
“We went back to the Squashed Lizard house for a bit, but we all had to drive home pretty early,” Crack said.
“School life, you know,” Marik added.
Pfundt said the boys were close friends outside of the band.
“We’re all good mates,” he said.
“It’s good when we’re performing because we can gel more than if we were just musicians.”
