After St Virgil’s recorded 19 scoring shots to one in a 53-point win earlier in the day, Kings Meadows came out a different side in the grand final to clinch a 5.2 (32) 4.2 (26) victory and reverse the result from last year’s grand final.
St Virgil’s held a six-point lead with ten minutes remaining before Kings Meadows vice-captain Harvey Griffiths and running machine Isaac Chugg inspired their side to kick two late majors and seal the game.
Both grand finalists defeated Ulverstone earlier in the day.
