The annual Spring Food Drive is being held in conjunction with Lions Clubs across the state’s north and north-west on September 14 and 15.
City Mission chief executive officer Stephen Brown said he hoped the drive would help replenish their shelves.
“The demand for food support is growing from people who are unemployed, earn a low-income or who have experienced hardship and can’t meet financial commitments due to a change in circumstance,” Brown said.
A list of suggested items is available on City Mission’s website citymission.org.au or via the Facebook page launcestoncitymission. Monetary donations can be made on the website.
Stalls will accept donations between 10am and 4pm at Riverside Shopping Centre, Mowbray Marketplace, Launceston Plaza, Woolworths City, Woolworths Kings Meadows, Meadow Mews SC, Prospect Marketplace and IGA Beaconsfield.
