The line-up for the national touring festival was announced on Thursday, with a strong 1990s influence.
Spiderbait, and The Living End top the bill, supported by The Lemonheads, Tumbleweed, Veruca Salt, and the Fauves.
Iconic rock three-pieces Spiderbait and The Living End commanded the Australian music scene, and the festivals of the time – Homebake, Livid, and The Big Day Out.
Spiderbait drummer Kram said the band was looking forward to hitting the road with their fellow bands and friends.
“It’s a really good line-up, a really supercharged line-up,” Kram said.
“[Between us and The Living End] we’ll be trying to out-do each other, it’s going to be a battle of the three-pieces.”
It’s not the first A Day on the Green tour for Spiderbait – they were invited along on the 2016 tour alongside You Am I and Something For Kate.
He said stepping onto the festival’s stage for the first time, the band was “blown away” by the size of the audience – it was reminiscent of those iconic Homebake and Big Day Out crowds.
The bill has connected with the hearts and nostalgia of the 1990s Australian music festival punters, Kram said.
“It has captured a lot of those audiences who can see some of those bands that they haven’t had the chance to see for a long time, and on a big, outdoor stage,” he said.
The tour will visit Josef Chromy Wines at Relbia on March 10. Tickets go on sale at 10am on September 25 via Ticketmaster.
