Billie said that everyone should have a right to love whoever they want no matter what their gender is.
“I don’t think there really should be a vote,” Billie said.
“We shouldn’t put labels on ourselves and should be allowed to marry who ever we want.”
Terry had a different view.
“It’s a bit pointless, even if we do get the majority vote the government could not pass it,” Terry said.
“I feel it’s this big thing that has everyone’s attention even though it’s not a massive deal.”
Both agreed that people outside your community have no right to tell you how to live although they are entitled to their opinion.
Postal votes have been sent to households but Billie said the vote should be online as “we all pretty much have technology”.
Postal votes are due back by November 7 with a result expected by November 15.
