Another person said he had trouble being employed due to his lack of work experience.

There was also a complaint that some employers paid less than the minimum wage to employees.
The group had a range of views about ways to improve employment rates. One suggested employers could be more open to traineeships for those who lacked experience.
Two of the group said there should be more support for those on welfare. The fourth person said employers should hire less students and overseas job seekers.
The group members were asked if they thought it was harder to find a job presently.
All respondents agreed that it is much harder to get a job now compared to in the past, due to workplace issues, and a decrease in employment opportunities.
They were also asked whether school had helped them learn how to get a job.
Three said no, and one said: "School doesn't teach you real life".
