Grade 9 teacher Allison MacPherson said the students decided to take part in the RSPCA’s fundraiser because they love animals.
“This is the third year the students have participated in this event and this year they raised the largest amount, $615.50. In previous years it has been around $350,” she said. “The students had a great day, they really enjoy decorating the cupcakes and each year they get more and more creative. They did an outstanding job and we are all extremely proud of what they have achieved.”
The event was organised by the Grade 9 student representative council, with help from teachers, other students and parents.
