The show, based around Australian history and culture hitting the big screen in Hollywood, was performed at The Country Club Tasmania Showroom on September 20 and 21.
It was brought to life by more than 50 eager grade 9 and 10 drama students.
Lucky is centered around two junior film makers named Lucky and Byron, who have the script they wrote for a film stolen by a money-hungry producer called Dingo.
Dingo lets movie tyrant Ruby Madlock twist all the Australian culture on its head in order to be a success in Hollywood.
Lucky and Byron must race against time to fix the film before it's too late.
"We chose Lucky because we felt our performers and audience would connect to the story well," Belinda Selby, co-director and choreographer of the production, said.
"It had some really great characters that we thought would appeal to our students.
"My favourite part has been watching the 'surprise performances' from students that I didn't expect to perform so confidently or step out of their comfort zones."
"I love seeing all the bits and pieces come together," Sharon Geale said, who is the co-director of the show.
"Hearing students’ suggestions about character, costumes and staging – their creativity and personal touches have made the show even better."
Geale said that the outcome of the show made the stress of directing worth it.
"Watching the excitement building amongst the students makes all the work and sleepless nights worthwhile,” Geale said.
She said the experience was huge, memorable, and awesome.
Students involved in Lucky produced programs, and t-shirts, as part of the production.
