Tullochs Auctions will sell the artworks, believed to be painted in the mid-1800s.
Auction manager Jessie Reid said it was rare to find a pair of Glover’s paintings – let alone in his adopted state.
“There’s a man in a blue coat and rumour has it it may actually have depicted him,” she said of the painting.
“They’re the same size, same sepia of watercolour.
“It would be very rare to find two that complement each other.”
Mrs Reid expects each painting to fetch between $7000 to $10,000.
“We haven’t seen a pair and such a nice size for the watercolours before,” she said.
Prizemoney for the Glover Prize for landscape paintings will be $50,000 in 2018.
Mrs Reid said more Glover paintings would be auctioned later in the year.
Viewing opens on Wednesday from 8am before the auction starts at 9am.
