Lee will get her first set of "angel wings" later this year with the model confirmed to make her debut in the next Victoria's Secret fashion show.

The 25-year-old from rural NSW shared the news on Thursday with her 29,000 Instagram followers.

"Extremely happy to let you know I'll be walking in the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!! Thank you so much for this incredible opportunity," she wrote.

Other Australians to make the cut include New Zealand-born Georgia Fowler, who made her Victoria's Secret debut last year in Paris, and Kelly Gale, who's featured in the past two shows.

This year's show is expected to take place in November in Shanghai as part of the lingerie giant's push to expand its global reach.

Other Australians who auditioned included Chantal Monaghan, who last week walked in Myer's spring launch parade, and Bridget Malcolm and Shanina Shaik, who both starred for David Jones this month.

Fowler also shared her success with her Instagram followers: "With all things celestial this week ...I can say, I am truly over the moon to be confirmed in the #VSFashionShow!"

The models are following in the footsteps of fellow Australian Miranda Kerr, who shot to global fame after her inclusion in the Victoria's Secret show, which has an audience of nearly 800 million people and last year reportedly cost $20 million.

However, the brand has struggled in recent times, with falling sales and the departure of former chief executive Sharen Turney.

The show has received some criticism for not representing a diverse range of women and promoting crash dieting in the days leading up to the event.
