The Cressy High School student has played in a grand final every year since under-11s and will be gunning for a three-peat when his side takes on North Launceston Black in the final NTJFA fixture of the day.
Freeman said this year’s path to the season finale had been different to previous seasons.
‘It’s been a bit different to the last few years, a lot of new players have come into our team,” Freeman said.
“It was a bit of a mix-mash to start off with but we’ve formed well as a team and it’s all come together.”
Looking to run the ball out of the opposite end of the ground will be North Launceston half-back Tom Foon, whose side has only dropped one game all season.
Foon said he couldn’t wait to play on UTAS Stadium for the first time.
“I’m pretty nervous but I couldn’t be more excited,” the Queechy High School student said.
“It should be a good game, they’ve been in it before and they give us a good run but hopefully we’ll finish on top.”
UTAS Stadium will host five NTJFA grand finals on Sunday.
