The orcas were captured in the Tamar River about 50 metres from the Bell Bay wharf.
MSS Security employee Shane Crawford was working at the Bell Bay site when he saw the pod in the water.
Mr Crawford said it was the first time he’d seen orcas there.
Collin O’sign also observed the pod at Bell Bay on Wednesday.
Mr O’sign recorded the killer whales frolicking in the Tamar River.
Footage shows the orcas only metres away from the boat.
It wasn’t the first time Tasmanians have reported seeing killer whales in the Tamar River.
In November 2016, fisherman Jeremy Jackson observed orcas in the Tamar River between George Town and Low Head.
