Follow Dorothy down the yellow brick road to the Princess Theatre for Newstead College’s performance of The Wizard of Oz.
More than 120 students from the college and surrounding community have been working together since February to put on the classic musical.
Director Chris Cabalzar said adding the different youth groups and primary school ensembles to the performance was a putting a jigsaw together.
“It’s a huge community event,” Mr Cabalzar said.
Then add Ruby the dog, who stars as Toto and it created a whole other dimension, he said.
“Toto is Dorothy’s only friend in the real world so it made sense a real dog would travel with her to the magical world of Oz.”
Newstead College will perform The Wizard of Oz on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, with a 2pm on Saturday.
Tickets are available from the Princess Theatre Box Office.
