The 22-year-old defender was one of three young guns to extend their contracts with the Cats, along with Wylie Buzza and Jordan Cunico.
Taken at pick No.41 in the 2013 national draft, Kolodjashnij has played 43 games since debuting midway through the 2015 season.
A club statement said: “He has become a critical member of the Geelong team that has again secured a top four finish.
“He has shown versatility in his time with the Cats, playing as both a defender and more recently up the ground.”
Geelong’s football manager Steve Hocking added: “It’s really pleasing to re-sign these three young guys at this point of the year, a great boost heading into the end part of the season.
“We see Jake, Wylie and Jordan as key members of our team well into the future.
“Jake has already shown his ability, work ethic and versatility. He plays and prepares in the Geelong way and makes our team and our club better.”
Queenslander Buzza and Cunico, from Gippsland, are both 21 and debuted in rounds 15 and 10 respectively.
