Roos captain Brady Jones converted a crucial goal in the final term to see his side take the four points 9.10 (64) to 9.9 (63).
Sam Siggins and Jake Cox (two) were Clarence’s multiple goal-kickers, while Campbell Hooker ended up with a double for the Southern Bombers in their first loss since round 12.
The Roos are the only team Lauderdale is yet to conquer this season, losing all three of their home and away matches.
Lauderdale now has the bye, while Clarence tackle Glenorchy in the season’s final round.
