The event will qualify residents to become one of the sanctuary’s community rescuers if they wish.
Attendees will learn how to handle injured animals, how to check a pouch for babies and how to create their own rescue kit.
The event will be held at Portland Hall on October 22.
The training is being held from 11am until 5pm.
