But by the end of the week, the young Scottsdale resident will be representing Tasmania at the 11th Pierre de Coubertin Youth Forum in Ülenurme, Estonia.
She will be part of a delegation of eight Australian students from each state, with two accompanying teachers, to travel across the globe for the international forum.
The Australian Olympic Committee was invited to send the delegation, which would be involved in organising sports events, practicing sports and coordinating group activities as well as competing in a mini Olympics.
Miss Kettle will take over a piece of home for school students she will meet during her trip – a few packets of Caramello Koalas.
Chosen at the end of May, she could not believe her luck.
The Scottsdale community has rallied support for her, raising the money to send her to the forum, which Miss Kettle said she was grateful for.
Miss Kettle is a member of the Tasmanian State AFL Development Squad while also a dedicated netballer, basketballer, races motocross and has been involved in the Dorset Active Youth Committee.
