Australian comedy legend Denise Scott spearheads the bill, supported by Sammy J, Anne Edmonds, and Rhys Nicholson.
The gala is on November 4, at Launceston’s Princess Theatre, with support from Tasmanian comedy talent: Mick Davies (The Cripps Ambassador, Rosehaven), Andy Collings, Rob Braslin, Sally Rose McShane, and Emergency Poncho.
It comes from the organisers of the city’s monthly room, Fresh Comedy.
“It’s a brilliant line up that we’re really proud of and we can’t wait to perform at the beautiful Princess Theatre again,” organiser Stewart Bell said.
“The acts love coming here because Launceston audience is always very warm and comedy savvy, creating the perfect atmosphere for comedy.”
The gala made its debut last year to a near sold-out crowd.
“Last year was so much fun and so well supported by the Tasmanian community that we decided to do it again and also add an extra headline act,” Bell said.
Tickets go on sale from Monday, via the Theatre North box office, by phone on 6323 3666 or online at theatrenorth.com.au
