Wombat numbers decline, sanctuary could help

The group has started a GoFundMe in a bid to raise $15,000 to purchase 60 acres. They hope to build a wombat habitat on the banks of the Tamar River.
In the location, wombats would be protected from culling. It would also allow those infected by sarcoptic mange to be treated and rehabilitated.
