Museum natural sciences curator David Maynard certainly hopes so.
“I’m expecting lots of kids running around in their jammies with glow sticks,” Mr Maynard said.
Two Night at the Museum events will have plenty for young explorers, and adults, as part of National Science Week, including star-gazing.
Dinosaurs, sunken treasures and other exhibitions will be illuminated while other artifacts can be examined under glowstick light.
It was one of Mr Maynard’s favourite programs as it was a hit with children.
“We don’t allow torches because they’re bad for the displays,” he said.
The Crazy Scientist will host one limited ticketed show from 7pm, with tickets available for $3 from the front desk, but the rest of the evening is free.
Night at the Museum will run on Wednesday and Friday night from 6pm until 9pm, glow sticks are available for $3.50 each.
