Since taking on the role late last year, Sciulli has lifted the club from a one-win, bottom-of-the-table finish in 2016 to sixth place on the NPL table with two rounds remaining.

Sciulli not bitter but sweet on his old club

Rangers football operations manager Marshall Pooley said Sciulli had done a brilliant job in tightening up a leaky defence and bringing through younger players. 

“Lino has been fantastic this season, he has not only improved our results for our NPL team in terms of points gained, but he has instilled a competitive edge within the playing group which was probably lacking in prior years,” Pooley said.  

“However I think the best thing about his appointment has been the development of some of our younger players who have really stepped up under his guidance.

“I am very excited at what season 2018 holds for the club and delighted to have Lino back on board to lead us in the National Premier League.”

Rangers meet last-placed Kingborough Lions at home on Sunday.

A win would guarantee Rangers a top-six finish and qualification for the League Cup.
