About $100,000 in prizes were given out as part of an IGA Tasmania giveaway, which lasted all July.
When Ms Dare received the call to come along to a prize draw on Wednesday with several other people, who were all in the running for the car or one of six Tasmanian holiday packages.
Ms Dare, of Oatlands, said she could not believe her luck when her name was drawn.
“There was only a little bit of hope in the back of my mind that I could win the Audi,” Ms Dare said.
“It wasn’t until I clicked the keys and the car opened that it sunk in,” she said.
“I’ve never really won anything. This is huge.”
She can drive away with her new car from Friday after the paperwork is finalised.
“I’m definitely planning to keep it long-term.”
IGA Tasmania advertising manager Travis Allen said to win a prize people just had to spend $20 in an IGA store, including a special brand, for them to be able to enter the draw to win.
“It’s an opportunity to reward our customers and get some new customers,” Mr Allen said.
A lot of people won one of the 250 gift cards during the promotion, he said.
